Robert “Rob” Banas of Garfield, New Jersey, has passed away unexpectedly, leaving behind deep sorrow among his family, friends, and everyone who knew him. He is remembered as a loyal friend, a devoted family member, and someone whose presence brought warmth, laughter, and genuine connection to those around him.

From an early age, Rob stood out for his vibrant personality and his ability to build strong relationships. He created lasting friendships through activities like Little League, track and field, and shared interests such as muscle cars, video games, and bowling. Known for his creativity and fun-loving nature, he had a special way of turning ordinary moments into unforgettable memories, always bringing energy and joy wherever he went.

 

Rob lived life with authenticity and a deep appreciation for the people around him. He valued connection, laughter, and meaningful experiences, and those closest to him remember his kindness, playful spirit, and the comfort he brought into their lives. Whether among friends or family, he made people feel seen, valued, and appreciated.

 

He will be fondly remembered by many names—Rob, Bobertcon, Pebo, Banjo—and as one of the “three amigos,” a true brother in every sense. His legacy lives on in the memories he created and the lives he touched.

 

A visitation will be held at Kamienski Funeral Home in Wallington, New Jersey, on Tuesday, March 31, from 2:00–4:00 p.m. and 7:00–9:00 p.m., and on Wednesday, April 1, at 9:00 a.m. A funeral Mass will follow at 10:00 a.m. at Most Sacred Heart Church RC. Family and friends are invited to honor and celebrate his life.
