With heavy hearts and deep respect, we honor the life of Dawn Maddox, affectionately known as Sherie, whose passing on March 30, 2026, has left a profound void in the lives of all who knew and loved her.

Sherie was a woman who lived boldly and authentically—someone whose spirit could not be confined. A true biker at heart, she found freedom, peace, and purpose on the open road, especially atop her beloved Harley-Davidson. For her, riding was more than a passion—it was a reflection of her soul. The roar of the engine and the endless horizon mirrored her fearless nature and her love for life’s journey.
Yet beyond the road, Sherie’s greatest devotion was to her family. She was a loving mother to Tyler Harper and a proud grandmother to Addie Harper, roles she cherished deeply. She is also lovingly remembered by her sister Deena Williamson and her husband Dave, her brother Brandon Maddox and his wife Summer, along with a large extended family of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who were blessed by her presence.
Sherie carried both love and loss with remarkable strength. She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Aaron Harper—a loss she bore with resilience and grace. Today, those who mourn her take comfort in the thought that they are reunited once more.
To know Sherie was to experience warmth, courage, and authenticity. She had a rare gift for making others feel seen and valued. Her laughter was infectious, her loyalty unwavering, and her spirit unforgettable. Whether on the road or in everyday moments, she left behind memories filled with joy, strength, and connection.
As we remember her life, we hold tightly to the love she gave and the legacy she leaves behind—a legacy of freedom, compassion, and living life without hesitation.
A memorial service to celebrate Sherie’s life will be held at HIS Church in Amarillo, Texas, on April 6, 2026, under the direction of Lighthouse Funeral Home. There, family and friends will gather to honor her journey, share memories, and celebrate a life that will never be forgotten.
May she rest in peace—forever riding in open skies, free and unbound, and forever loved.
