The Lehigh County Coroner’s Office confirmed that Krasnansky was pronounced dead at 2:45 p.m. on March 25 at St. Luke’s University Hospital. Authorities have stated that he died from gunshot wounds, though the exact circumstances surrounding his death are still under investigation. While the cause of death has been determined, officials say the manner of death remains pending as the review continues.

The situation began earlier that morning around 10:30 a.m. at his home on Applebutter Road, where reports indicated he had barricaded himself inside. This led to a large response from multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Pennsylvania State Police. Specialized units, such as the Special Emergency Response Team (SERT), were deployed due to the high-risk nature of the situation.

Officers worked for several hours to resolve the standoff peacefully, using negotiators and other resources. During the incident, authorities reported that Krasnansky discharged a firearm, prompting an officer to return fire. No injuries were reported at that stage. However, as the situation escalated later, a SERT member fired the shot that resulted in his death.

The case remains under active investigation by the Pennsylvania State Police and the Lehigh County Coroner’s Office. Officials are reviewing evidence, including witness accounts and other materials, to better understand what occurred.

As the community seeks answers, authorities have asked for patience while a full and thorough investigation is completed.
