Community Mourns Garrett Trenerry Alberta, CA Obituary

The Alberta community and members of the Maple Leaf Athletic Club are mourning the sudden and deeply painful loss of Garrett Trenerry, a devoted U-17 AAA assistant coach who made a lasting impact on everyone around him. Since joining the club in 2024, Garrett quickly became a valued part of the team, earning respect and admiration from players, fellow coaches, and families.

Garrett’s love for the game showed in everything he did. He brought energy, knowledge, and genuine enthusiasm to every practice and match, always focused on helping young athletes grow—not just in skill, but in confidence and character. His role went far beyond coaching, as he truly believed in guiding and mentoring his players with patience and encouragement.

 

To those he coached, Garrett was more than just a coach. He was a role model who motivated them to do their best, supported them during challenges, and celebrated their achievements. He instilled values like teamwork, discipline, and respect—lessons that will stay with them long into the future.

 

Outside of sports, Garrett was known for his kindness, humility, and the sincere care he showed to others. He built strong, meaningful connections and created a sense of belonging wherever he went. His positive spirit made him someone people naturally appreciated and trusted.

 

As the community grieves, heartfelt condolences go out to his girlfriend Sydney, his family, friends, and all who knew him. While his passing leaves a deep void, his legacy will live on through the many lives he touched.
